Founder and CEO, Stand Up for Science
Colette Delawalla is the founder and CEO of Stand Up for Science. Stand up for science has mobilized thousands of scientists across the globe, supported whistleblowers at the NIH, EPA, NASA, and FEMA, fought cuts to federally funded research, launched a campaign to impeach RFK Jr., and is working to ensure a pro-science Congressional majority in 2026. She is a Clinical Psychology PhD candidate at Emory University.
Syanne Bloom
Disability Justice Activist
Syanne Bloom is a disability justice activist and political commentator whose work examines how public policy, healthcare systems, and institutional decision-making impact disabled people. As a disabled Afro-Indigenous Latina and wheelchair user, her analysis is grounded in lived experience and a deep understanding of systemic inequities.
She holds a degree in history, bringing a critical, systems-level perspective to her work, which spans over a decade in political advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and digital media. Bloom has built a platform reaching tens of thousands, where she translates complex political issues into accessible, widely engaged public discourse.
X Braithwaite
Lead Environmental Justice Organizer, Ironbound Community Corporation
X Braithwaite is a dedicated advocate for social justice, equality, and environmental stewardship. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, X graduated from Science Park High School and earned a degree in Community and Justice Studies and a degree in African American Studies.
Currently, as the Lead Environmental Justice Organizer for Clean Water Action, X works to empower communities overburdened by pollution, advocating for systemic change and holding legislators accountable. X serves as the co-chair of the Newark Branch NAACP Environmental Justice Committee and is a member of the Environmental Justice Advisory Council for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Her advocacy extends across intersecting areas of carceral, economic, racial, and environmental justice.
Lieutenant General Russel L. Honoré
General Russel Honoré is a decorated 37-year army veteran and a global authority on leadership, disaster management, and climate preparedness. At the request of the Speaker of the House, the General led Task Force 1-6 Capitol Security Review to improve Capitol security following the attacks on January 6, 2021. As the commander of Joint Task Force Katrina, he became known as the “Category 5 General” for his leadership in coordinating military relief efforts in post-hurricane New Orleans.
General Honoré knows that the future of our national security depends on protecting our environment, and he’s fighting for a brighter future for us all. A Louisiana native, he founded the GreenARMY, a coalition of environmental experts and advocates, to protect against pollution while fighting climate change and the natural disasters it causes.
During his military career, General Honoré held numerous commands, including Vice Director for Operations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Commander of the Standing Joint Force Headquarters-Homeland Security.
Saul Levin
Climate Justice Organizer, Climate Justice Center
Saul Levin is a climate justice organizer who covers climate, labor, and housing policy for Congresswoman Cori Bush. He is a Fellow at Data for Progress and has organized with ORCA, Sunrise, and the Climate Disobedience Center. Saul was previously Senior Climate Advisor to Rep Deb Haaland and before that headed the Harvard Climate Leadership Program. He studied Environmental Planning at Harvard and Environmental Studies and Geography at the University of Chicago. He plays folk music and used to be a pretty solid foosball player.
Craig McLean
Former NOAA Chief Scientist
Craig McLean has over 45 years of experience in ocean science, law, policy, and marine operations. He is a successful international leader, advocate, and visionary voice for ocean science and policy.
McLean is recognized internationally as a leader in ocean policy and ocean diplomacy and is frequently invited to speak on these subjects.
He enjoys implementing strategies for science, turning science into policy, and advising others on how to do so. His career in NOAA spanned service as a senior Commissioned Officer and as a member of the Senior Executive Service. He has decades of experience in creating and implementing large science programs, Congressional relations, marine and climate science policy, and law. He was Captain of NOAA research ships, and conducted many ocean exploration, fisheries, ocean mapping, deep sea diving, and exploration operations and expeditions.
Professor Dave Farina
Science Educator
Dave Farina is a science communicator with a goal of explaining science to the world. He received a BA in chemistry from Carleton College in 2005, but is equally fascinated with physics, astronomy, biochemistry, and so many other subjects. His YouTube channel, “Professor Dave Explains”, was launched in January of 2015. He also runs the “Professor Dave Debates” Podcast.
